February’s ‘Under The Radar’ Projects
We’re now in the beginning of March, a month filled with big albums from Tory Lanez, Flatbush Zombies, Prhyme, Rae, Sremmurd, and many more artists/groups. But don’t let the new month start without hearing these four under the radar projects. With each project coming from producers / curators getting a wide variety of artists and vibes, let me put you onto some great music from the month of February.
DJ Luna – Sunday Morning
If you’re looking for some soul beats and melodies about love and heartbreak, then look no further than Sunday Morning. The Every Blue Moon affiliate DJ Luna curates an EP filled with excellently chopped R&B samples and soothing production. The project puts a spotlight on some talented up-and-coming artists including Chuck Strangers, Quavius Black, Spazzy D, Chuck II, and many more.

Everything is Recorded by Richard Russell
The head of XL Recordings in Britain released an interesting collaborative project. The Fader reports that the album was recorded over the course of two years with different recording and jam sessions with artists. The all star list of featured artists includes Sampha, Syd, Gibbs, Infinite, and Wiki among others. With themes dealing with heartbreak and loneliness scattered throughout, Richard Russell provides listeners some tracks filled with introspection and raw emotion.

Arcstrumentals, Vol. 2 – Erick The Architect
For those who enjoy instrumental projects or if find skits entertaining, check out Erick The Architect’s new project. Serving as beginning to Flatbush Zombie season approaching, the groups member / producer drops off a very experimental body of work. Rather than following the previous approach he took on his original Arcstrumentals mixtape, Erick decides to have instrumentals, skits, and occasional verses from himself, Zombie Juice, Meechy Darko, as well as Harlem’s A$AP Twelvyy.

A Room Therapy – Showbiz
This project is hard to find any information, but its a showcase of some amazing New York rap. D.I.T.C’s affiliate producer Showbiz releases his solo LP “A Room Therapy” packed with some talented emcee’s like David Bars, Majestic Gage, and OC destroying beats. David Bars shines on this project,especially in the intro track when he rhymes.
